Paras Anand said: “Artemis has a reputation as an outstanding fund boutique, but we also have a sizeable and growing business running segregated mandates for wealth managers and institutions. It’s important that we listen to our clients and create the solutions they need. Toby will play a key part in that process.
“The systematic multi-asset team, will report to Toby as we build out that part of our business.”
“This year we’ve already recruited three well-respected investment experts – Alex Staniç as our new Head of Global Equities, Sacha El Khoury as our Head of Impact Equities and Natasha Ebtehadj as a portfolio manager with outstanding expertise in emerging markets and, particularly, India. More hires are to come. We continue to strengthen the investment teams and that bodes well for the future.”
Greg Jones, Head of Distribution at Artemis, commented: “The firm has long had a reputation for delivering highly active differentiated investment solutions for clients. Toby’s appointment will help us to continue to build on what we’ve done historically as well as to investigate new ideas. He is an excellent addition to our senior investment teams.”
Toby joined Fidelity International in 2009 and, prior to his current role, was a Client Portfolio Manager in Fidelity International’s multi-asset team, working on the team’s total return strategies. Before this, he was an equity investment director and covered Fidelity International’s European equities, equity income and absolute return strategies.
Toby has over 20 years of industry experience. He began his career in asset management in 2001 at TT International and went on to become an investment specialist for Henderson Global Investors in 2005. He is a CFA Charterholder.
